Maoist Center calls Central Committee meeting



KATHMANDU: Maoist Center, the main opposition party, has called a meeting of its Central Committee December 17.

Party Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that a meeting of the party’s office bearers, held at Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s’ residence in Khumaltar on Monday, decided to convene the Central Committee meeting on that date.

The office bearers’ meeting on Monday morning also outlined the responsibilities of party leaders for the upcoming by-elections, which are set to take place on December 1.

Additionally, Sapkota stated that the party has decided to hold a protest meeting against the government by the end of December.
