Heavy rainfall likely in some areas of four provinces



KATHMANDU: The monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire country, with the low-pressure line situated south of its usual position, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

As a result, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country.

Light to moderate rainfall is already occurring in isolated areas of the Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that this afternoon, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in a few areas across the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in one or two locations within the Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy across the country, with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Heavy rainfall is also expected in one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department has issued a warning for the general public to remain alert due to the expected heavy rainfall in these provinces.
