PM Oli invites Indian PM Modi for official visit to Nepal



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended an invitation to his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, for an official visit to Nepal.

PM Oli conveyed the invitation through Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, who is currently on an official visit to Nepal.

The invitation was discussed during a meeting between PM Oli and Secretary Misri at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Sunday.

Secretary Misri’s visit marks the first high-level interaction between the two nations since KP Sharma Oli’s recent appointment as Prime Minister of Nepal.

Misri is scheduled to return to India on Monday, concluding his visit, which was initiated following an invitation from Nepal’s Foreign Secretary, Sewa Lamsal.
