KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has unveiled a comprehensive work plan aimed at improving Nepal’s health sector.
The plan is designed to meet the targets set by the 16th Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals, according to Minister Paudel.
He presented the plan during a press conference at Singha Durbar on Sunday.
However, many of the initiatives outlined in the plan are continuations or expansions of previous plans and announcements.
Key highlights include the establishment of a neurological treatment center and an increase in the health insurance coverage amount from Rs 100,000 to Rs 500,000.
Additionally, Minister Paudel’s plan proposes the establishment of Human Organ Transplantation Centers in all seven provinces, the adjustment of medicine prices, free burn treatment in central and provincial hospitals, and annual free health check-ups for athletes.
