Nepal’s Santoshi Shrestha finishes 79th in Paris 2024 Olympic Women’s Marathon

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Santoshi Shrestha secured the 79th position in the Women’s Marathon at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Shrestha completed the marathon in 2 hours, 55 minutes, and 06 seconds.

Earlier, she had won a gold medal at the Bangabandhu Marathon in Dhaka, finishing with a time of 2 hours, 46 minutes, and 22 seconds.

In the Paris Olympic Women’s Marathon, the gold medal was claimed by the Netherlands, with a finishing time of 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 55 seconds.

Ethiopia and Kenya took the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
