State Affairs Committee summons Home Minister, Chief Secretary, and CIAA Chief for discussion



KATHMANDU: The State Affairs Committee under the House of Representatives has summoned Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Chief Secretary Liladevi Gadtaula, and Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority for a meeting.

Scheduled for August 15, the Committee will discuss the proposed amendments to the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.

Chairman of the Committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, confirmed that officials from CIAA have also been called to the meeting.

“We have summoned all the heads and officials of the CIAA. The Home Minister and the Chief Secretary will also attend,” Khatiwada stated.

The meeting will also focus on the ‘Bill to Amend the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.’
