KATHMANDU: The meeting of the newly formed Central Committee of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal is set to begin today (Sunday) in Lalitpur.

JSP Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav stated that the meeting, which will continue until August 14, will address several key issues.

These include current political developments in the country, the strengthening of the party’s organization, and other pertinent matters.

JSP Chairman Yadav stated that the agenda will cover the party’s role in the current national political landscape, its ideological and theoretical frameworks, and the necessity of constitutional amendments.

Additionally, discussions will focus on the party’s stance on identity, national and ethnic liberation, and the concept of socialism.

The meeting will also explore the current geopolitical situation, Nepal’s foreign policy, and the party’s role at the local, state assembly, and parliamentary levels.

There will be a particular emphasis on party expansion and strengthening action plans, according to him.

Furthermore, the Central Committee will deliberate on action plans and programs for a nationwide mass mobilization campaign.

This includes membership distribution, organization building, training, seminars, public meetings, and other necessary programs.

The meeting is expected to set a timeline for completing the campaign and assign responsibilities to central members for managing local levels, including districts, metropolises, and cities.
