132 road sections affected from floods, landslides

KATHMANDU: The vehicular movement in 132 road sections in different parts of the country has been affected from the incidents of floods and landslides.

The Department of Roads said on Thursday that 13 road sections were fully obstructed, while 119 others have resumed one-way traffic.

The Spokesperson of the Department, Sunil Pokharel, shared that one-way traffic has resumed along the BP Highway, Prithvi Highway, Mid-Hill Highway and some other road networks.

However, vehicular movement along the Dumre-Bensisahar-Chame, Biratnagar-Itahari-Dharan and Tansen-Ridi-Korala was completely obstructed after the landslides and inundation.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has warned of a high risk of landslide and flooding and has forecasted the chances of rain across the country until Saturday.
