Landslide blocks Prithvi Highway

BHARATPUR: A landslide at Mauwakhola in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-3 has obstructed the Prithvi Highway this morning.

Police Inspector Nirala Bhandari from the Area Police Office in Muglin reported that the Road Division Office is currently using an excavator to clear the debris.

However, the process is slow due to continuous rain and ongoing mudslides. As a result, vehicles are stranded on the highway.

The onset of the rainy season during road upgrades has led to frequent mudslides, disrupting traffic on one of the busiest highways in the country.
