The Weather Forecasting Division has analyzed the situation and predicts the possibility of a heatwave in the central and western Terai areas over the next few days.

As a precautionary measure, the Division has advised making necessary preparations and taking precautions against the extreme heat, which can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dehydration, headache, and muscle cramps.

To mitigate the effects of the heatwave, the Division has recommended to stay indoors, wear light and cotton clothing, cover the head when venturing outside, stay hydrated, and seek medical assistance if experiencing health issues.

Meanwhile, monsoon activity has been observed in the Koshi Province, with rainfall reported in areas including Ilam.

This year, the monsoon arrived three days earlier than usual, entering Nepal from the eastern side on Monday.

The Weather Forecasting Division has anticipated that the monsoon to take approximately three days to spread across the entire country.
