HoR meeting taking place today

Agenda includes discussions on various aspects of the Appropriation Bill, 2081



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today to discuss the budget allocation.

The meeting is set to commence at 11 am in the Parliament Building, New Baneshwar.

Today’s agenda includes ministerial discussions on various aspects of the Appropriation Bill, 2081.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the meeting will cover topics under the Ministry of Forests and Environment, Youth and Sports, Education, Science and Technology, and Labor Employment and Social Security.

MP Prem Suwal will propose expenditure reductions under the Appropriation Bill, 2081 concerning the Ministries of Forest and Environment, Youth and Sports, Education, Science and Technology, and Labor, Employment, and Social Security.

MP Amaresh Kumar Singh is scheduled to propose reducing the expenditure of these ministries to one rupee.

Additionally, MPs Pushpa Bahadur Shah, Badri Pandey, Rama Koirala Paudyal, and Sanjay Kumar Gautam are slated to present proposals for expense reduction.

Moreover, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out the letters received from the Office of the President and the Office of the Prime Minister during today’s meeting.
