KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party is holding its Standing Committee meeting in Kathmandu today.

The meeting, scheduled to take place at the party’s central office in Aloknagar at 11 am, will delve into discussions on the party’s future trajectory, ongoing political developments, and governmental actions.

In addition, preparations for the upcoming general convention of the party, slated for 16 to 20 May in Kathmandu, are underway.

Speculation looms over a potential clash between Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and senior leader Jhalanath Khanal for the coveted post of Chairperson during the convention.
