KATHMANDU: A shocking incident has led to the arrest of a man accused of murdering his own grandmother.

Ajay Kumar Pandey, aged 30 and a resident of Bindabasini Rural Municipality-5, is now in custody on suspicion of killing his 80-year-old grandmother, Sawarjiya Devi Pandey.

The tragic incident unfolded following a dispute over land and property within the family.

Reports suggest that Ajay allegedly assaulted his grandmother during the altercation, resulting in her demise while she was receiving treatment at Pokhariya Hospital.

The police have initiated further investigation into the case to gather more details surrounding the incident.
