PARSA: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has lauded the contribution of the private sector to the advancement of the Narayani Hospital in Birgunj, which, he said, is the backbone of Madhes Pradesh’s health sector.

Inaugurating the Post-Natal Care Ward at the Hospital here on Sunday, Vice President Yadav emphasized that everyone should work together to remove the aberrations seen in the health sector.

On the occasion, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ramesh Rijal said that the government is working to upgrade Narayani Hospital and emphasized that the federal, provincial and local levels should coordinate with each other to ensure access to basic health services.

The post-natal ward was completed at the cost of Rs. 4.5 million and is expected to benefit the new mothers, said Medical superintendent of the hospital Dr Chittaranjan Shah.

Chairperson of Narayani Hospital Development Committee Dhiraj Gupta, MP Pradeep Yadav, Mayor of Birganj Municipal Corporation Rajeshman Singh, Provincial Assembly Member Janardan Singh Chhetri and others participated in the event.
