KATHMANDU: The Fifth Central Committee (CC) of the ruling Maoist Center is underway at the Rastriya Sabha Griha, Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.

The ongoing session includes an evaluation of the four-month ‘Maoist Special Transformation Campaign with the People,’ an initiative undertaken by the party.

During the campaign, the focus was on both “constructing and reconstructing” the party’s organization.

Additionally, members engaged with the families of martyrs, relatives of missing warriors, and the injured and disabled workers.

Madhav Sapkota, a member of the Maoist Central Committee, said that the meeting, scheduled to conclude tomorrow, will delve into current political issues.

Discussions will also encompass the party’s functioning and preparations for the statute conference slated to take place from February 13-15, 2024.
