Chinese Ambassador Song holds talks with RSP Chairman Lamichhane



KATHMANDU: A meeting transpired between Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song on Thursday.

In the meeting held at the RSP’s office, Banasthali, other leaders included Shishir Khanal, Member of the House of Representatives and Head of the Party’s International Relations Department; lawmaker Nisha Dangi, also the Head of the RSP’s Infrastructure Development Department.

During the meeting, discussions focused on drawing the government’s attention to the delayed upgrading of the Narayangadh-Butwal road section under the East-West Highway and the challenges faced by citizens during their journeys.

The meeting also delved into the causes behind the road construction delay, proposing strategies to prevent further setbacks, and delineating the roles that need to be assumed for swift project completion.

Ambassador Song pledged to initiate necessary measures to expedite the project, demonstrating a commitment to resolving the issues at hand.
