Kathmandu’s temperature drops to 5.6°C today



KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has dropped even further today compared to Monday.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu, measured at 5:45 am today, is 5.6 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, it was 6.4 degrees Celsius.

The official minimum temperature across the country will be updated at 8:45 am.

This 5.6 degrees Celsius is the lowest minimum temperature recorded in Kathmandu so far this year.

The previous lowest temperature was recorded on December 5.

Meanwhile, Kathmandu received its first winter rain on Monday. According to the Division, there is no expected rainfall in the Kathmandu Valley today.
