Falgunanda’s guidance worth following: President Paudel



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed his belief that national unity can be strengthened and consolidated if we can follow the path shown by national luminary Falgunanda.

In a message today on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Mahaguru Falgunanda Lingden of Kirant, he has said that the guidance by him to maintain economic discipline while ending social conservative traditions is worth following.

“As the philosophy adopted by Falgunanda is based on love and non-violence, his inspiring teachings and guidance can give the society the right path to follow,” the President has said.

Recalling that Mahaguru Falgunanda spread social awareness not only as a religious preacher but also as a social reformer and a social activist, he has wished that Falgunanda Jayanti inspire everyone to embark on the great campaign of tolerance, peace, non-violence and social reforms.

The 140th birth anniversary of national luminary Falgunanda is being celebrated by organizing a variety of programs across the country today, including in Panchthar, Taplejung, Tehrathum, Ilam and Jhapa.
