Foreign Secretary Lamsal leads Nepali delegation to BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in New Delhi



KATHMANDU: Foreign Secretary Ms. Sewa Lamsal is departing for New Delhi today to lead a Nepali delegation to the Second BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Retreat, scheduled for 11-12 July 2024 in the Republic of India’s capital.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Retreat will focus on enhancing regional cooperation and partnerships in areas of mutual interest and complementarity within the BIMSTEC framework.

As part of the event, Foreign Ministers and delegation heads from BIMSTEC Member States will jointly call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India.

Accompanying the Foreign Secretary is a senior official from the Ministry, and they are expected to return to Kathmandu on 13 July 2024.
