Govt failed to ensure good governance: NC leader Koirala

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has criticized the government for failing to deliver good governance in the country.

Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Monday to mark the 15th memorial day of NC leader Sailaja Acharya, Koirala emphasized the need for all democrats to consider the stability of the government.

He also expressed doubt about the prospects for economic development under the current circumstances.

Recalling the legacy of BP Koirala and Sailaja Acharya, Koirala asserted that if their principles are followed, NC can work towards political stability, the eradication of corruption, and good governance in Nepal.

Koirala highlighted that the federal government has already changed three times recently, with no certainty about future stability.

He urged all democrats to think about ensuring government stability.

During the event, Koirala also remembered Sailaja Acharya as a courageous politician in Nepal’s political history.
