Deputy PM Yadav: Party split won’t undermine government stability

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav, also the Minister for Health and Population, has affirmed that the recent split within the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSPN) will not destabilize the government.

Speaking at an interaction organized by the Rafat Sanchar Club, Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to stability and assured that the JSPN’s support remains intact.

Yadav, who also serves as the chairman of the JSPN, reiterated the party’s dedication to political stability, good governance, and development, dismissing any intentions of orchestrating the downfall of the government.

He underscored the party’s refusal to engage in political gamesmanship, emphasizing its focus on the welfare and prosperity of the federal republic.

Addressing the split within the party, Yadav expressed his intention to seek justice through legal channels, signaling his dissatisfaction with the circumstances surrounding the division.

He characterized the split as “unnatural, unprincipled, unethical, and unconstitutional,” voicing confidence in the judiciary to overturn the decision.

Furthermore, Yadav criticized the timing and process of the party’s registration, alleging a deliberate attempt to undermine democracy and sow instability in the country.

He questioned the legitimacy of the new party, highlighting discrepancies in its registration process.

In light of these developments, Deputy Prime Minister Yadav’s remarks underscore the government’s resolve to weather political challenges while upholding democratic principles and stability.
