Rain with thunder and lightning expected today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds, local winds, and a low-pressure system formed around Bihar in India.

Presently, the country is experiencing partly to mostly cloudy skies, with light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, along with wind in a few areas of the Koshi Province.

This afternoon, hilly areas of the country, including Koshi and Lumbini, will witness partly to mostly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy weather.

There’s a chance of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms in some hilly areas, especially Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Additionally, there’s a possibility of light snowfall in select high hills and Himalayan regions.

Tonight, hilly areas, particularly the Koshi Province, will experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy.

There’s a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and wind in a few hilly areas.
