HoR meeting set to resume today after Nepali Congress obstruction

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to convene today, following a postponement due to disruptions caused by the Nepali Congress (NC).

The previous HoR meeting, which was initially convened on Tuesday, was adjourned and rescheduled for 11 AM today, owing to the obstruction orchestrated by the main opposition party, NC.

The NC has been persistent in their demand for the formation of a parliamentary committee to probe into the alleged involvement of the Home Minister in a cooperative fraud case.

As the HoR reconvenes today, tensions are expected to persist as discussions around the contentious issue are likely to resume.
