PM Dahal directs employees to align work with CMP amid altered political landscape

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has instructed employees to align their work with the common minimum program (CMP), developed in response to the altered political circumstances.

During the semi-annual review meeting of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, he urged proactive efforts in line with the government’s fundamental policies and programs, taking into account the altered situation.

“In these changed circumstances, policies and programs will serve as guidelines for our office, all other offices, and the entire employee system,” stated Prime Minister Dahal. “Programs will be swiftly implemented, and guidelines will be issued to every office accordingly.”

He stressed the importance of significant progress in aligning work with the established goals of the Prime Minister’s Office and its subordinate bodies.

The Prime Minister also directed the systematic preparation of a regular schedule for National Pride projects.

Expressing satisfaction with the current progress, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the non-negotiable commitment to achieving set goals within the designated timeframe.

“The established goals must be met within the stipulated time. To accomplish that, this office needs to assume a leadership role. It is crucial to be even more vigilant,” he stated, adding, “This oversight office needs to engage additional active Secretaries and Heads of Departments for comprehensive reviews of related areas.”

Acknowledging the initiation of discussions on the upcoming budget and program policies, the Prime Minister directed an analysis of the current fiscal year’s work performance.

He emphasized the need to guide the preparation of next year’s work, with a focus on achieving a minimum of 80% progress by the fiscal year’s end.
