NC President Deuba calls meeting to select candidate for NA Chair



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has convened a meeting of the work executing committee of the parliamentary party to finalize the party’s candidate for the National Assembly Chairman election.

Scheduled for 4 PM this afternoon at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha, the meeting aims to discuss and select the most suitable candidate for the upcoming NA Chair election.

Bhanu Deuba, President Deuba’s personal secretary, confirmed the agenda, emphasizing that the meeting will focus on the crucial task of choosing the party’s nominee for the prestigious position.

Earlier today, a meeting of the party’s office bearers deliberated on the selection of candidates for the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

With the election slated for Tuesday and the deadline for nominations on Monday, the Nepali Congress is swiftly moving to ensure representation in this significant parliamentary role.
