DPM Yadav assumes office as Health Minister, makes decision to expediate health service



KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Health and Population Minister Upendra Yadav has officially assumed office.

In tandem with assuming office, he has taken decisive action on three fronts.

Addressing delays observed in surgical procedures at federal and provincial hospitals, Yadav has committed to expediting and rectifying the situation promptly.

Furthermore, he has directed the implementation of an online service to eliminate the inconvenience of waiting in long queues.

Yadav has also underscored the importance of effectively utilizing digital methods and endorsed a report from a task force established under the Health Service Act.

After being appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Yadav took oath to office and secrecy on Sunday morning.
President Ramchandra Paudel administered oath to office and secrecy to Yadav this morning.

Concurrently, Yadav has assumed leadership of the ministry upon reaching its headquarters.
