Nepal elects to bowl first against Hong Kong in Tri-Nations T20 opener



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s cricket team, after winning the toss, has opted to field first against Hong Kong, China, in the inaugural match of the Tri-Nations T20 International Series on Sunday.

Spanning from Sunday to Wednesday, the Triangular T20 Series showcases the cricketing prowess of Nepal, Hong Kong, and Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Led by captain Rohit Paudel, Nepal’s national cricket team arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday in preparation for the tournament.

In a warm-up match, the Friendship Cup, played on Saturday between Nepal and Hong Kong, Nepal suffered a defeat by 73 runs.

However, with the main tournament underway, Nepal aims to showcase their best performance and turn the tables against Hong Kong in the Tri-Nations T20 opener.
