Protesting doctors and staff of BPKIHS resume work following six-point agreement

DHARAN: On Saturday, a resolution was reached after six rounds of discussions between the management of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) and the Joint Struggle Committee of the Teachers’ Welfare Society and Employee Welfare Society.

The Joint Struggle Committee, representing doctors, teachers, and staff, decided to end their protest and return to their duties.

The agreement, concluded after the 27-day-long Civil Disobedience Movement, outlines the resumption of the long-suspended interviews for the positions advertised on January 4, 2023, and February 8, starting from February 18.

In the wake of this agreement on Saturday, the protesting teachers and staff members have resumed their services.
