PM Dahal to attend Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Uganda



KATHMANDU:  Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is scheduled to visit Uganda in the first week of January to participate in the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement member states.

Government Spokesperson Rekha Sharma, briefing the media on the Cabinet’s decision on Wednesday, said that the Prime Minister will lead a Nepalese delegation at the Summit taking place on January 19-20.

Additionally, Foreign Minister NP Saud is slated to participate in the ministerial meeting of the member states, scheduled for January 17 and 18.

Meanwhile, Minister Sharma said that the Committee formed to investigate the alleged sale and purchase of Ncell shares had its deadline extended to January 29.

Likewise, the cabinet meeting also decided to allocate Rs 2 billion rupees from the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to the Disaster Management Fund.
