NEPSE continues upward trend on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has maintained its consistency in upward trend for the last two consecutive days.

Today, the NEPSE index has witnessed a continuous trend, climbing up by 9.62 points to reach 2,089.62.

Today, transactions involving 13,477,946 shares of 301 companies were traded, resulting in a total turnover of NPR 5,134,848,789.

Today, development bank group plunged by 0.44 percent, finance by 0.10 percent, hotel and tourism group by 0.84, and hydroelectricity group by 0.50 percent. Meanwhile, investment group surged by 0.63, life insurance group by 0.25, and non-life insurance group by 0.13 percent. The sub-index of other groups has also seen an increment.

Banking and manufacturing and processing group increased by the same 1.12 percent, followed by microfinance group 1.02 percent, mutual fund group by 0.03, trading group by 0.01, and other group by 2.21 percent.

Positive circuit limits were seen in the share prices of Manakamana Smart Microfinance and Himalayan Reinsurance Limited. Conversely, Chhimek Microfinance witnessed a significant decline in its share price by 5.95 percent compared to the occurrence of multiple incidents.
