Two killed, 10 injured in Tanahu jeep mishap

DAMAULI: Two people were killed and 10 others were injured in a jeep accident in Bhimad municipality-5, Sunakot, Tanahu on Wednesday.

The District Police Office, Tanahu is yet to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Office information officer Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohan Bahadur Khand, said the injured died amidst the treatment at the GP Koirala National Center for Respiratory Diseases.

The passenger jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6356) fell some 150 meters off the road near a turning at Baralthumki.

A total of 12 people including the driver were travelling in the jeep. Three have been referred to Pokhara for treatment.

Police said investigation into the accident is underway.
