Partial rain expected in three provinces during Dashain



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division has released this year’s Dashai special weather bulletin today.

According to the bulletin, there will be partial to normal rain in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Koshi, Madhes and Gandaki provinces during Saptami (10th), Ashtami/Navami (11th ) and Dashami (12th) of Dashain this year.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is also likely at a few places in Koshi and Madhes provinces and one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The weather will be mostly clear in the remaining provinces. Meanwhile, this year’s monsoon has left the entire territory of Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces including Kathmandu valley since Tuesday.

The monsoon has also withdrawn from the western part of Bagmati province and few places in the western region of Madhes province.

At present, the influence of monsoon air remains in the eastern parts of Madhes and in Bagmati and Koshi province, adds the division.
