Monsoon gradually weakening in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The monsoon winds are affecting the eastern parts of Madhes and Bagmati provinces including Koshi province, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

Similarly, the westerly wind is affecting the western parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, Madhes and Bagmati provinces.

At present, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in Koshi province and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

Light rain is taking place at one or two places of Koshi province, according to the Meteorological Bulletin issued by the Department at 6:00 am today.

The Department shared the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country including Koshi and Madhes provinces and fair in the rest of the country this afternoon.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi province and one or two places of rest of the provinces.

As informed, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight.

There will be light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places of the hilly regions of the rest of the provinces including Koshi province and Madhes province.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi province and one or two places of rest of the provinces.
