Ruling coalition meeting begins in Baluwatar

Meeting discussing government's Common Minimum Program

KATHMANDU: The meeting of top leaders from the ruling coalition parties is underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, all parties currently participating in the government are attending the meeting.

The primary agenda is to finalize a Common Minimum Program (CMP), as the government faces criticism for the delay in establishing such a program nearly two months after its formation.

A task force has been agreed upon, consisting of Gagan Thapa and Dr. Prakash Shaaran Mahat from the Nepali Congress, Pradeep Gyawali, and Bishnu Rimal from the CPN-UML.

Today’s discussions are also expected to address ways to enhance the effectiveness of government work and alleviate public frustration.
