Chitralekha Yadav lilely to be recommended as Nepali Ambassador to Australia



KATHMANDU: Former Deputy Speaker and Nepali Congress leader Chitra Lekha Yadav is set to be recommended as Nepal’s ambassador to Australia.

Nepali Congress (NC) spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat sai dthat the party plans to propose Yadav for the position.

Yadav is expected to be formally recommended during the cabinet meeting.

The ambassadorial post became available after the previous recommendation of Nepali Congress leader Kanta Rijal was withdrawn due to controversy.

The Nepali Congress plans to recommend Yadav, representing the Madhesi community, as part of its quota.
