Finance Committee holding meeting today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the parliamentary Finance Committee is taking place today at the Federal Parliament Secretariat building, Singha Durbar.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the meeting, scheduled for 11 a.m., will focus on discussing the report of the Banking Offenses and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080.

In a previous meeting held on Sunday, the Committee agreed on penalties for cheque bounce, including imprisonment ranging from one month to two years and a fine of 5 percent.
