Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to Visit Nepal on August 11-12



KATHMANDU: In a continued tradition of high-level exchanges between India and Nepal, India’s Foreign Secretary  Vikram Misri will undertake an official visit to Nepal on August 11-12, 2024.

The visit comes at the invitation of Nepal’s Foreign Secretary, Sewa Lamsal.

This visit underscores the priority India places on its relationship with Nepal, a key part of its Neighborhood First policy, according to the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

India and Nepal share deep-rooted civilizational and cultural ties, which have been further reinforced in recent years through enhanced bilateral cooperation.

The completion and initiation of major infrastructure and connectivity projects in Nepal, supported by the Indian government, are a testament to this growing partnership., the Indian Embassy said.

During the visit, discussions are expected to focus on advancing bilateral ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation, building on the momentum of recent high-level exchanges.

This visit is poised to further solidify the close and multifaceted relationship between the two neighboring countries.
