Shree Airlines flight diverted from TIA runway

KATHMANDU: A Shree Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to Surkhet this morning was diverted from the runway and returned to the parking lot.

The aircraft, which was set to take off at 7:30 a.m., had already reached the final point of the runway when it was brought back.

Passengers on board questioned why the flight had been suddenly turned around.

According to a passenger, airline staff cited technical reasons for the decision.

However, Anil Manandhar, the Manager of Shree Airlines, clarified that the diversion was not due to a technical issue.

He explained that the flight was turned back following a dispute among a few passengers.
