Earthquake felt in eastern Nepal



BIRATNAGAR: An earthquake was felt in several eastern districts, including Biratnagar on Friday morning.

The tremor of 4.5 magnitude, which originated near the center of Sikkim in India, was felt in surrounding areas, including Biratnagar, the capital of Koshi Province at 7:12 am.

The epicenter was located approximately 22 km from Darjeeling.

Due to the proximity to Nepal’s border, the shockwaves were also felt in some districts of Nepal.
