KATHMANDU: Police resorted to firing tear gas and water cannons as demonstrators attempted to breach restricted zones in the capital.

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is organizing a mass gathering advocating for the reinstatement of constitutional monarchy and the abolition of secularism, among other aims.
