Gold prices soar to record highs, reaching Rs 136,300 per tola

KATHMANDU: Gold prices have once again surged to a new record high, with fine gold reaching an unprecedented Rs 136,300 per tola on Tuesday.

The surge of Rs 100 per tola adds to the already record-breaking spike witnessed in recent weeks.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has now been fixed at Rs 136,300 per tola, while standard gold is being traded at Rs 135,650 per tola.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has remained stagnant, holding steady at Rs 1,685 per tola.

A tola is equivalent to 11.66 grams.
