Fire in Matihani causes loss of over Rs 3.5 million



MAHOTTARI: A devastating fire broke out at a furniture industry in Matihani-8 of the district last night, resulting in significant losses.

Reports indicate that property worth over Rs 3.5 million was consumed by the fire, which engulfed Bharat Furniture, owned by Dukhmochan Thakur.

The District Police Office, Mahottari, stated that the fire started around 10:00 pm on Monday.

The blaze ravaged furniture and other raw materials within the industry.

Thankfully, teams from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and local residents collaborated, along with the assistance of a fire engine, to successfully extinguish the flames.

Efforts are underway to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the fire.
