During her tenure as the chair, discussions were held with the leaders, chief whip, chief secretary, and members of the Organizational, Discipline, and Consultation Committee of the party to finalize the five members of the committee.

Assistant Spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Dasharath Dhamala, informed that after consultation with political parties and their chief whip in the parliament, an agreement has been reached to conduct the election for the chairman on March 12.

Earlier, the National Assembly had publicly declared the election program for the chairman on March 12 when releasing its tentative work schedule.

“The announcement regarding the registration and election program, along with regular activities, will be made on Sunday, March 10, after the meeting of the National Assembly,” Dhamala stated.

On March 3, the term of the twenty members of the National Assembly ended. With the completion of the term, the election process for the Chairman of the National Assembly is being accelerated.
