Four ministers and two state ministers added to province government

BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister Kedar Karki has expanded the government in Koshi province.

After four months of appointment, Karki has expanded the cabinet for the second time.

On Friday, he added four ministers and two state ministers. Pradeep Kumar Sunuwar and Ram Kumar Khatri from Nepali Congress are appointed as ministers.

Sunuwar received the responsibility of the Ministry of Health, while Khatri has been assigned to the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture, and Cooperative Development.

From the CPN-Maoist Center, Rajendra Karki and Narayan Magar have been appointed as ministers.

Karki received the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development, and Magar took charge of the Ministry of Drinking Water, Irrigation, and Energy.

Indira Thapa from the Maoist Center got appointed as the State Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, while Sunita Kumari Gurung, also from the Maoist Center, got appointed as the State Minister for Internal Affairs and Law.

With the addition of six more individuals, the cabinet has now expanded to 10 members in the current government.
