Head Constable loses life in road accident in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Hemraj LG, a Head Constable serving in the Armed Police Force Nepal, Kathmandu, met with a tragic accident resulting in his demise as the vehicle he was in skidded off the road due to a pothole.

The incident occurred in the Kalanki-Thankot main road section when he fell from the vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries.

This unfortunate event transpired during his night security check duty. Hemraj had completed his mobile duty after executing the security plan at the Balambu Police Office (Baluwatar). While en route to the Balambu Police Office, the accident took place around 11:15 AM in the Kalanki-Thankot main road section.

The deceased’s body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for post-mortem examination.

The driver of the vehicle, Assistant Constable Ram Prasad Yadav, has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
