Fog envelops Terai region, caution advised for travelers

KATHMANDU: The partial influence of westerly winds is evident in Nepal, leading to diverse weather conditions in different regions.

While the hilly areas of the country are undergoing a partial change, the Terai region is experiencing foggy conditions, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Meanwhile, the rest of the regions will maintain mainly clear skies.

There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi Province later in the day.

Meanwhile, the weather will witness a partial change in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces tonight.

According the Division, there is a potential for light snowfall in select high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki and Koshi provinces during the night.

On Saturday, he weather will be partly cloudy over the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Light snowfall is possible at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
