KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to extend the detention of controversial medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai for an additional three days.

The bench of Judge Durga Khadka approved the request on Sunday, allowing the police to continue their investigation.

Prasai was arrested on charges of spreading misleading information against former Prime Minister KP Oli. The police sought an extension, citing incomplete investigations into the case.
