NPL: Janakpur Bolts batting against Lumbini Lions



KATHMANDU: Janakpur Bolts is batting against Lumbini Lions in tody’s match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Janakpur was chosen to bat first after Lumbini Lions captain Rohit Poudel won the toss and elected to field at the Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Janakpur is led by captain Anil Sah, while Lumbini is captained by Rohit Poudel, who is also the captain of the national team.

Janakpur, who defeated Biratnagar by eight wickets in their first match, followed by an eight-wicket victory over Karnali in the second match and a seven-wicket win over Pokhara in the third match, remains undefeated.

With 6 points, Janakpur sits second in the standings, only behind Sudurpaschim on net run rate.

Meanwhile, Lumbini, sitting at the bottom of the table, is still in search of its first win.

After losing to Biratnagar by two wickets with just one ball remaining in the first match, Lumbini suffered a heavy 10-wicket defeat to Pokhara in the second match.

In their third match, Lumbini was defeated by Sudurpaschim by 45 runs. They will be hoping for a breakthrough win today.
