Five killed, 24 injured in Surkhet accident



SURKHET: Five people died and 24 others were injured in a road accident at Ranimatta on the Surkhet-Dailekh border.

According to the District Police Office in Surkhet, the vehicle (Karnali Province 02001 B 0998) was traveling from Dailekh Bazaar to Surkhet when it lost control and crashed.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Bir Bishwakarma, spokesperson for the District Police Office, reported that four individuals died at the scene, while the 24 injured were rescued and taken to Provincial Hospital Surkhet.

Some of the injured are in critical condition. Bishwakarma also noted that the vehicle had fallen approximately 200 meters down the road.
