One dies of diarrhea in Nepalgunj

BANKE: A person has died due to diarrhea in Janaki Rural Municipality.

Thirty-four-year-old Holi Teli of Belhari in ward no. 5 of the Municipality has died, according to Health Office Information Officer, Naresh Shrestha.

As Cholera germs were not found in the test his death may have been due to failure to drink a lot of fluids including water and not receiving timely treatment, Shrestha said.

Meanwhile, three people have been diagnosed with diarrhea and undergoing treatment in the Municipality.

Among them, one is undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital and the second at the local health post. The third person has returned home after treatment.
